Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced

Aircraft Mechanic I Sheet Metal for a position in Ft. Campbell, KY. Fabricate, disassemble, assess, repair, overhaul, modify and re-assemble aircraft sheet metal and structures, tooling, fixtures or assemblies from blueprints, engineering drawings and aircraft structure repair manuals. Assemble aircraft components using structural adhesives, rivets and threaded fasteners. Perform composite repairs including but not limited to fiberglass and Kevlar. Applies technical expertise in troubleshooting aircraft systems and subsystems using special tools and test equipment as required. Interprets technical data including technical manuals, maintenance information and action messages, and technical guidance provided through government representatives. Perform other qualified duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.

• Five (5) or more years’ experience in aircraft structure repair desired.

• Three (3) years required.

• Thorough knowledge of aviation structural repair requirements and techniques.

• Understanding of Reset schedules and timelines.

• Detailed knowledge of job specific tooling.

• Able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.

• Basic knowledge of the Unit Level Logistics System (ULLS-A).

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
